ComScore Video Metrix data indicates that online video ads reach more than
50% of the total US population each month. In fact they go on to show data the
confirms more than 85% of Internet users in the US viewed online video in
September 2011 and more than 14% of those videos were ads. To put this in
perspective; in one month 182 million people compiled 39.8 billion video views
for an average of 19.5 hours per viewer.
